ParkinsonNet Australia
Research Project
ParkinsonNet is a model of care from the Netherlands. The model has been shown to improve outcomes for people living with Parkinson’s. It empowers health professionals and people with Parkinson’s by:
- providing allied health professionals with training according to Parkinson’s guidelines,
- facilitating multidisciplinary collaboration through clinical networks,
- an online finder portal making allied health professionals easier to find,
- providing people with Parkinson’s with education and a copy of the guidelines.
In this research project we will adapt the ParkinsonNet model to make it relevant for Australia and then trial it in Tasmania and Western Victoria.
If you are a person living with Parkinson’s or an allied health professional and you are in Tasmania or Western Victoria we invite you to participate in the ParkinsonNet Australia research study.
